Tuatara supercar could hit 275 mph
The fastest production car in the world is currently the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport, which clocks in at a cool 268 mph.
“Most manufacturers essentially use the same basic model and body shape for up to 10 years, while only making small refinements to it each year,” explained SSC founder Jerod Shelby.
“After only three years in production with the Ultimate Aero, SSC’s Tuatara is about to monumentally evolve in the areas of sophistication, design, aerodynamics and sheer all-around performance.”
Additional Tuatara specs include:
- Carbon fiber wrapped around a carbon chassis.
- Aluminum crash structures.
- Carbon fiber wheels.
- Engine – twin-turbocharged, 7.0-liter V-8, 1,350 horsepower.
- Drive – sent to rear wheels via a seven-speed manual transmission.
