Born and raised in the small town of Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada, Tasha Tilberg spent the majority of her carefree childhood engaged in one normal activity after another. The prospect of becoming a model was as alien to her as becoming the President of the United States. But things began to change once she hit puberty, and by the time she was in her late teens, it became clear that Tasha was destined for bigger and better things.
With her striking looks and lithe body, Tasha quickly came to the realization that she had just the right look for the modeling industry and decided to pursue a career within the business while she still had nothing to lose.
It wasn’t long before Tasha found herself booking gigs with well-known names such as Versace, Esprit and Gucci. Signed to the prestigious Next agency, Tasha began appearing on the cover of magazines like Mademoiselle and Harper’s Bazaar, and working fashion shows for companies like Dolce & Gabbana and DKNY.
Although Tasha’s decision to sue Next for mishandling her income could have ended her career, the up-and-coming model bounced back by signing with IMG — the same agency that represents Gisele Bundchen and Heidi Klum.
For now, it seems as though Tasha Tilberg’s got a long and healthy future within the industry ahead of her. “To tell you the truth, I never expected any of this,” Tasha says. “I’m happy it’s happening and I’m totally grateful, but I’m the same person I was two years ago. It’s just that now I feel I can just be myself and not worry.”
