Mariah Carey Confirms ‘American Idol’ Exit and Announces World Tour

In a retweet from her PR firm, the “We Belong Together” singer shared, “W/ global success of “#Beautiful” (#1 in 30+ countries so far) @MariahCarey confirms & says goodbye 2 Idol.”

The 43-year-old songstress posted on her website that she’ll perform at the Macy’s Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular this year. Alongside country star Tim McGraw, the event will be hosted by Mariah’s hubby Nick Cannon and airs on Thursday, July 4th from 8-10pm ET on NBC.
