Laura Whitmore was born on 4 May 1985 in Dublin, and was brought up in Bray, County Wicklow, Ireland. She studied journalism at Dublin City University. Laura found fame in 2008, when MTV launched Pick Me MTV, a presenter search campaign. She beat the other competitors, and landed herself a job as face of MTV News in Europe. Before hitting the big time she worked as a researcher on Irish radio show, Lunchtime with Eamon Keane. In 2011 she replaced Caroline Flack on ITV2’s I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! NOW! and in 2012 she hosted the BRIT Awards alongside Keith Lemon. As well as her impressive TV career, Laura has a clothing range at A Wear, an Irish clothing chain. Laura is currently dating Danny O’Reilly of The Coronas, an Irish indie band.
