Ilary Blasi Biography 1981-
Ilary Blasi may have been born and raised with her two sisters in the Eternal City, but she didn’t waste any time getting into show business. At age 3, she did her first commercial, and her first role came in Da grande (1987), an Italian movie, when she was only 5 years old. She appeared in a string of films released in the late 1980s, including Il vizio di vivere (1988), Fiori di zucca (1989), La dolce casa degli orrori (1989), and David e David (1989).
But Ilary wanted to keep her options open. She attended a science grammar school in Rome, and she later enrolled in the communications science program in college. By that time, Ilary had grown up and she started working as a model, capitalizing on her cover-girl looks and her 5’8”, 35-25-37 frame.
Ilary’s re-emergence into Italian show business came in 2001, when she went to Milan and was selected to be a “letterina” on the television program Passaparola, alongside other Italian beauties like Alessia Ventura. After departing Passaparola in 2003, Ilary worked steadily on a number of other shows, including Top of the Pops, CD Live and Che tempo che fa. In 2006, she was the cohost of the Festival di Sanremo. And in 2007, Ilary was a presenter on Italy’s long-running satire show, Le Iene.
Ilary is married to soccer superstar Francesco Totti, the captain of AS Roma. The couple, who were married in June 2005, have two children: a son Cristian, born in November 2005, and a daughter Chanel, born in May 2007.
