Cameron Diaz had to do it, and so did Kim Basinger. The downside of being ridiculously beautiful is that sometimes you have to get yourself a modeling career and then use that as leverage for whatever the hell you actually want to do with your life. We know, so hard, right? But that’s how all of us got our jobs at AskMen.com, so we totally understand.
Before she became a model, Eve Mauro lived in Orlando, Florida, with her Sicilian father and Russian mother. When we stopped to contemplate that combination, we were incredibly turned on and then grabbed a knife to defend ourselves for some inexplicable reason. Nevertheless, it’s pretty hot.
When she was just 16 years old, Eve Mauro left home to attend a vocational college. Sounds a little like she went to a stuck-up prep school, doesn’t it? Apparently, it was more like Girls Gone Wild on speed and a little less Rushmore on MDMA. “I moved out at 16 to attend vocational college,” Mauro has said. “The guys who ran it took an old motel and turned it into this school. An entire floor was filled with 16- and 17-year-old girls.” Remember when high school was that awesome? Neither do we. Let’s collectively take a moment to live vicariously.
Sure, this is probably not even worthy of the headline, but somehow the topic of “virginity” and the whole idea of it being “lost” (“Where did it go? Wait, I really don’t want it back.”) kind of fascinates us, despite how creepy it is for us to be thinking of that at ages we now are. Somehow, a woman willing to discuss the details of her first time — because we secretly know that they all put a lot of weight on the memory of said experience — is kind of sexy. “I lost my virginity when I was almost 18 years old,” Eve Mauro has confessed. “All my friends had lost theirs, so I had to keep up my rep. I lost it to a dance instructor. He ended up getting fired shortly thereafter, poor thing.” The “poor thing” part is definitely what makes the comment hot; the fact that he was a dance instructor is somehow creepy.
The move to L.A. seems inevitable, if you want to be famous. In order to break into the acting world, the impossibly beautiful Eve Mauro realized it might be easier to start her career as a model in Los Angeles, being that everyone kind of wants a piece of pretty. Did you just shed a tear too? At 21, she moved to L.A. and started work as a professional pretty person. Mauro scored her first semi-acting gig in Madonna’s music video for “Hollywood.” Remember when the lyrics went a little something like, “Everybody comes to Hollywood / They wanna make it in the neighborhood / They like the smell of it in Hollywood / How could it hurt you when it looks so good?” Kind of fitting, we think.
Eve Mauro has yet to be a headliner, but we decided to have an office bet that she makes it big-time in a Megan Fox kind of way. We’re not sure where the money went, where we put it, or who we were betting against, or if our coworkers just used it for beer on Friday, but — trust us — she is going to be hot. With roles in films like Land of the Lost and Penance under her 25-inch belt, we’re sure this is not the last we’ll see of Eve Mauro. And if it is, then God bless Google, because we’ll be checking photos of her for a long time.
