Emina Cunmulaj Biography 1984-

Emina was born in Michigan to Albanian parents, but she moved to Yugoslavia when she was 4. She lived and went to school there at a time when Yugoslavia was undergoing tremendous turmoil and a series of wars. As a result, her childhood was enveloped in catastrophe and destruction that was beyond her control.

As a teenager, she was discovered while participating in the Elite Model Look Yugoslavia 2001 competition. This gave her the leverage to realize her dreams, including a return to the U.S. when she was 17.

Her participation in the modeling contest, along with her obvious modeling talents and attributes, landed her representation with Elite Model Management, which has also managed Alessandra Ambrosio, Gisele Bundchen and Heidi Klum. After signing the deal, she quickly took to the day-to-day events of interviewing for modeling gigs and never knowing what job she would be doing next. Since joining Elite, Emina has done several runway shows for some extremely prominent designers, such as Kenneth Cole and Carolina Herrera. Her slender figure and conspicuous face have also landed her representation with Munich Models and Premiere Model Management, which has been home to Claudia Schiffer, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Rachel Hunter.

Now settled into her life as a successful model, Emina still loves the anxiety of her job. It is her objective outlook on modeling that allows her to handle the uncertainty and craziness of her profession. She says that when she is modeling, she knows that her only job is to sell the clothes by making them look perfect.

Tossed into the world of modeling at 17 and married at an early age, Emina Cunmulaj is mature beyond her years. She is a sexy woman who is no stranger to the paparazzi, the modeling underworld and celebrities of all sorts, but she stays grounded by remaining close to her husband and family.
