Emilia Attias Biography 1987-
Beginning as a model in her teens, Emilia hooked up with the prestigious García Navarro Agency, quickly becoming a much-in-demand model in Argentina. In 2005, she began hosting Ayer te ví (I Saw You Yesterday), a program which aired on Canal 9. She starred in Ricardo Arjona’s music video for “Pingüinos en la cama” (Penguins in the Bed) in 2006.
Emilia also made her big-screen debut that year, appearing in the feature film Matar a Videla (Killing Videla), produced and directed by Nicolás Capelli and Juan Pablo Redondo. She played Lucero in an episode of Gladiadores de Pompeya and got to show off her dance moves with partner Lucas Tortorici when they appeared on Bailando por un sueño (Dance for a Dream).
2007 has been another busy year for the model-turned-actress, as Emilia Attias landed the leading role of Cielo Mágico on the teen soap opera Casi Ángeles (Almost Angels). The series became a hit with the youngest segment of the viewing audience and spun off the musical group known as the Teen Angels. Emi sings lead for the group, and her debut single “Voy por más” (Going For More) was released in 2007. The show has become a hit in other countries including Spain, where merchandise such as posters, T-shirts and magazines are selling like hotcakes. One of Emilia’s most recent modeling gigs was for the Impetu Lingerie Collection’s 2007-2008 catalog.
With successful modeling, acting and singing careers happening simultaneously, Emilia Attias is a big celebrity in her homeland, and she dreams of one day becoming a star in Europe and Hollywood.
