Donna Feldman was raised in California, the place where socially awkward teens have a reasonable chance of becoming internationally recognized models. Growing up, her incredibly shy personality, very tall frame and prominent braces made her an obvious target for teasing and less of a target for the modeling industry. Despite her awkward and introverted ways, Donna Feldman still managed to get into some solid trouble. One of her legendary moments came before she obtained her driver’s license. On a whim, she decided to steal her brother’s car while her parents were out of town, only to return home to find her mom and dad standing in the driveway waiting for her.
The first member of the Feldman family to enter the modeling world was actually Donna Feldman’s older sister. During this period, modeling agents took notice of the younger Feldman female, who was well on her way to becoming beautiful. Nevertheless, Donna Feldman’s parents didn’t allow her start modeling right away – they were unhappy with the treatment of her sister by modeling types – so instead, Donna Feldman studied fashion at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. She would later graduate with a degree in marketing and merchandising.
During her stint at FIDM, Donna Feldman used modeling as a means of paying the bills and making connections inside the industry. Originally done on the side, Donna Feldman maintained her modeling habits after her graduation from FIDM by signing deals with clothing companies like Nautica and Lucky Brand. Starting in 2003, Donna Feldman would move on to conquer the music video circuit by appearing in “Senorita” for Justin Timberlake, followed in subsequent years by “Blame the Vain” for Dwight Yoakam and “Tired of Being Sorry” for Enrique Iglesias. In the latter video, she played a vampire who turns him into one of her own through a well-placed bite.
In the wake of an appearance as a trophy model at the 2005 Academy Awards, Donna Feldman hit the game show circuit a year later as the holder of suitcase 22 on Deal or No Deal. She stayed on for the majority of the season until she was offered a role as Gloria on the soap opera Fashion House. By playing a vindictive schemer, Donna Feldman got to exercise evil qualities that she didn’t know she had. It was quite the change for her, considering her most recent memory of bad behavior was the act of sweet-talking a cop out of giving her a speeding ticket.
In 2008, Donna Feldman was approached by none other than Adam Sandler for a role in his new film, You Don’t Mess with the Zohan. Having spotted her in the pages of Stuff earlier, he offered her the role of Michal, one of the title character’s beautiful Israeli pals. As Hebrew was her first language, Donna Feldman relished the chance to bring her character to life and the box office success of the film certainly didn’t hurt her career prospects. After the release of the film, Donna Feldman returned to television to serve as a co-host of The Fashion Team and panelist on Redeye.
Donna Feldman was selected by Maxim Germany as the cover model of the November 2009 edition. Only a short time later in the spring of 2010, she was scooped up by VISA to serve as a model for VISA Black. No doubt inspired by the James Bond films of old, Donna Feldman filmed a lavish television commercial for the product in France, where she got to ride a high-priced Ducati motorcycle, hitch a lift from an MD-500 chopper and take a gutsy jump in a bikini that would force Daniel Craig to notice. With this campaign, Donna Feldman is sealingl her stature as one of North America’s most intoxicating up-and-coming models.
