Beyonce just surprised us by casually dropping an album of 14 songs and 17 videos, and now the singer is taking the beauty world by storm.
Beyonce and Coty announced the launch of a third fragrance labeled Beyonce Rise. The perfume is designed to soar beyond the sensuality and electricity of B’s on-stage alter ego Sasha Fierce, and focus more on her personality.
“The fragrance concept is a about female empowerment and finding the inner strength that makes women so beautiful,” said Marsha Brooks, vice president of global marketing for fragrances in the Coty Beauty division of Coty Inc., which holds the license for the superstar’s fragrance business. There is a strong sense of “overcoming adversity and rising above it all.”
Beyoncés February 2013 HBO film, “Life Is But a Dream” was the turning point, Brooks observed. “This was a big deal for her to really exhibit her personal life and struggles, as well as her professional life. It’s just Beyoncé sharing more and more with her fans.”
Queen B’s first two fragrances constituted the world’s best-selling celebrity scents of all time, generating more than $400 million in retail sales, and we have no doubt that Beyoncé Rise will follow suit.
The spritzer will be available in February 2014 and is priced at an affordable $19.99 for a half-ounce bottle decked out in delicate gold accents, of course.
