Ben & Jerry’s ‘Euphori-Lock’ Keeps Ice Cream Safe

Finally, a solution to those pesky ’s-stealing roommates of yours: the “,” a gadget that puts a clamp on the lid of that favorite pint.

“This delightfully tongue-in-cheek concept actually came from one of our customers, who suggested we start selling our ice cream in stainless steel containers with little padlocks on them,” said Ben & Jerry’s Merchandise Maven Katie O’Brien in a release.

The contraption has been around for awhile — since 2002, actually — but it’s been making the rounds on the interwebs recently. It features a two-part plastic security ring that secures the lid, which can be unlocked with a secret code. Look closely at the inscription on the side, which reads “I’m terribly sorry, but there is no ‘u’ in ‘my pint.'”
