Pflugrad’s interest in sports started at a young age when she spent her early years growing up on the sidelines watching her dad coach and her brother play football.
She has interviewed various athletes, including Emmitt Smith, Larry Fitzgerald, Kurt Warner, Jared Allen, Jake Plummer, Tony Hawk, Steve Nash, Grant Hill and Vince Carter. She has also interviewed coaches that include Ken Whisenhunt, Kirk Gibson, Dennis Erickson, Alvin Gentry, John Spini and Corey Gains. She also had the opportunity to cover Media Day for both Oregon and Auburn during the BCS National Championship Week. Her work with celebrities includes Tom Hanks, Bret Michaels, Billy Crystal, Ronnie Ortiz-Mago, Rita Wilson, Bo Derek and Jordin Sparks.
She believes growing up as a coach’s daughter has helped her gain insight into what athletes do both on the field and off.

She cohosted the pre-game show for the Territorial Cup Series matchup between ASU and Arizona football airing on FOX Sports Arizona.
